Trauma

In your life you might have taken some literal and/or figurative hits which now affect you daily. This can happen to everyone.

These are events that you have experienced as very shocking. You were caught up in fear, impotence and disgust.

A traumatic experience like this can have a very deep impact.

You experience that situation again and again for example in nightmares or flashbacks.

You avoid places, things, people, behaviour that you (unknowingly) associate with the trauma and you are always cautious, have trouble sleeping, have concentration problems and/or anger outbursts.

You do everything to prevent the worst, however at the same time, you have the feeling “it” is not in your hands. You feel misunderstood and at the same time feelings of shame, guilt and impotence arise. These feelings can lead to isolation and depression.

In the EFT vision the energy balance in the body has been so heavily disrupted by the experiences, that it is logical that you are continuously confronted with the disturbing feelings and associations of that experience.

With EFT the effects of a one-time trauma can be treated quickly and effectively.

Treating a long-time trauma is an intense process and asks for careful accompaniment. Within EFT different sorts of trauma techniques have been developed which are effective and solution-oriented. This makes the techniques less intense and they achieve a result in a shorter time.
