Sports

In order to perform at your best, it is of crucial importance to be balanced. You can train like a professional on a technical, tactical and conditional level, you can have the best material and the best diet, however, the fact that it is not right in your head, can make the difference between the best performance and an average one.

The tension before and during a game is a very thin thread, which means feeling the tension and controlling it makes the difference between being “in flow” (an outstanding performance)  and “working very hard and reaching a lesser result”.

My first experience with EFT and sports was offered by my 10 year-old daughter: “Dad, I am supposed to take the penalties (strafworpen) in the upcoming games.”(korfball)

To my question of what she thought about that herself, she answered that she was scared to miss the penalties and found it all very thrilling (negative tension, fear of failure). After two rounds of EFT, the negative tension was gone and she even felt very confident. To my question: “What if you miss?” (testing), she answered: “Too bad, better next time.” The next day she was allowed to take two penalties, they both went in without any hesitation and I had the biggest smile on my face!

EFT can make the difference in (high level) sports between missing or scoring that crucial penalty.

Dealing with performance pressure and tension is an art itself. EFT offers the opportunity to deal with tension and pressure by yourself in the right way.
